The Versatile Blogger Award

This is my first ever blogger award, so thank you to Niamh at niamhrblogs for the nomination! Her content is so brilliant and varied, so do go and check it out! I’ve read some other posts on this award, and it seems a great way to get to know people better, and to discover new blogs and their amazing content!

First of all, here are the rules for everybody I’ve nominated:

  • If you are nominated, congratulations! You have been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award.
  • Thank the person who gave you the award and include a link to their blog.
  • Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
  • Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award.
  • Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself

So here are 7 (not so) interesting facts about me:

1. I have a BA English & Music degree

Books and music have always been my main passions, and I was lucky enough to be able to combine the two and study them for three years! It meant my assignments were super varied, as well. I’d get to write an essay on Shakespeare for one module whilst creating a piece of music for a Symphony orchestra for another. It was hard work, but definitely worth it.

2. I write songs

One of my favourite things to do is sit at my guitar or piano and write songs. It helps me to work through and express anything I’m feeling or that is going on in my life. I’m intending on recording some stuff for my neglected YouTube channel at some point but…we’ll see if my motivation continues!

3. I’ve never had a pet

I was never allowed a pet as a child, and as I’m still living with my parents in order to save money, I’m still pet-less. For the moment I’m having to make do with dogsitting for my friends and visiting my boyfriend, who owns 7 dogs, as much as possible. (I’m not with him just for the dogs, honest…)

4. I’m currently a waitress

There are definitely worse jobs around, and there are lots of lovely regular customers who make the job bearable. Although, the other day I got sworn at for asking someone how they wanted their eggs cooked. Swings and roundabouts.

5. I’m a Ravenclaw

Most definitely, 100% unequivocally a Ravenclaw, despite how much I wanted to be a Gryffindor as a child. But Pottermore never lies. And I am now the proud owner of a replica of Luna Lovegood’s wand. Ravenclaws unite! (Yes. I am a nerd. How did you guess?)

6. My most embarrassing moment was rolling off stage dressed as a teapot

I was playing the part of Mrs Potts in a school production of Beauty and the Beast. My costume, obviously, was a giant teapot. I attempted to walk off stage, tripped up, fell flat on my face and rolled sideways into the wings. Mortifying.

7. Despite being a huge Disney fan, I have never been to any of the parks

Yes, I know, it’s tragic. One day, I shall go. Even if it’s by myself. And I shall cry at every Disney character I meet.

Now, here are my nominations! All these bloggers are putting out some brilliant content, so please go and check them out!

I'm a 20-something-year-old graduate who needed a creative outlet, and this is the result. I love books, baking, writing, music and drawing in any combination and I want to share these with whoever might be interested. Peruse at your pleasure.
